Hi, I'm Rebecca!

I've been playing piano since I was 6 years old, but it wasn't until I learned to create my own music that I truly fell in love with piano.

  • Will the music prompts in this book be too hard for me?
    This book is designed to be customizable for different levels. If you're a beginner, use fewer of the elements suggested on the page; if you're more experienced, challenge yourself to incorporate all of the elements on the page.

    However, you will want to have at least a basic understanding of how chords work so you can understand the chord progressions suggested in this book.
  • What if I understand how chords work, but I'm not very good at playing them yet?
    I can't think of a more rewarding way to practice playing chords than to use them in creating your own music! Just start with some lullabies so you can keep things nice and slow while you build up your confidence!
  • Do I need to be able to read music in order to use this book?
    Nope. Not even a little bit. The only music notation you'll find in this book is in the rhythmic motif/motive provided in each prompts. And this is just one measure's worth of rhythm, without any music staff to worry about. And, this part is purely optional anyway, so if you're not comfortable reading it, just skip that part!
  • Are there any diagrams and illustrations to help me understand the concepts presented in this book?
    Absolutely! In each musical prompt, the notes of the suggested scale are illustrated on a keyboard diagram.
  • What is the file format of this ebook? Will it be compatible with my device?
